people will listen up when astrological themes are mentioned -
especially these days when there is so much anxious anticipation
about what the human race is racing toward at the moment.

What actually happens during an
astrological consultation is simple. You arrive at
my door. We go to my office. You sit in the chair
across the table from me and we talk. I am actually
reading and interpreting the symbols I see on the
paper. You are allowed to comment, disagree, agree,
add details or remain silent.
Oddly enough I think one of
the greatest uses of the astrological consultation
is in the fact that you take home with you a
recording of our conversation. When you listen to
it, without me in the room, you can decide for
yourself what rings true, what a certain thing might
be referring to and, most importantly, how it
makes you feel: Where is your resistance and what do
you feel most comfortable with? Knowing your
reaction to the information can be as insightful and
helpful as the information itself.
Astrology has many levels
and many uses. There is the obvious value in
understanding and integrating personality traits.
There are also many mundane considerations regarding
things such as the best times to
start a project or a business, to get married (or
divorced), to travel or to get a new pet. The
possibilities are endless. One of my favourite consultations is in
helping writers develop characters for their
creations. By creating real charts for
these imaginary people we can find a depth of
consistency in the character that helps to thread
the story in a realistic way.
A
