Sun enters Aries: 10:45 AM EDT
The last time the Sun was in Aries along with Neptune and Saturn was hundreds of years ago.
After so many years of a lack of fire in the heavenly picture Aries, a fire sign, is loaded to the gills with planets. This is the first (not the last) time the Sun will highlight Aries as it joins Saturn and Neptune. More Aries means more action, aggression, protest and war. A time when people want to move forward and can be aggressive or assertive. Aries is the energy of spring, new life and ‘outa my way’. It is courage and it can be bluster. We are prompted, each and every one of us, to react and respond to situations. The trick is to do with without losing our heads, without hurting others, without reducing the world to a war ravaged melee. (Not doing so well, so far.) Change is here and now. We know it needs to happen. So far it shows up as chaos: things falling apart. What about the straight shot, the clear aim, the scalpel, cutting away the rot?
Perhaps we should continue to consider the wise words below with the understanding that we are the agents of change. We have the power and the mandate to ‘wrong the wronger till he render right’…
Time’s glory is …
To unmask falsehood and bring truth to light,
…,
To wake the morn and sentinel the night,
To wrong the wronger till he render right,
– William Shakespeare
As the Sun travels through Aries this year it will conjunct Saturn and Neptune, square Jupiter and conjunct Chiron. Not to mention the Full and New Moons. Stay tuned, below.

If you were holding your breath, you can let it go now. What have you learned or discovered over the last 3 weeks that you weren’t aware of before? What is the value of feeling - the immaterial sense or knowing that we are alive?
March 21
Mars trine Jupiter
Enthusiasm derivation: enthousiazein "be inspired or possessed by a god, be rapt, be in ecstasy," from entheos "divinely inspired, possessed by a god," from en "in" (see en- (2)) + theos "god"
An astrological expression of enthusiasm is when Mars trines Jupiter. In water signs (Pisces and Cancer) it’s an enthusiasm of feeling, of image, of longing meant to inspire the inner spiritual warrior to know itself, feel itself and express itself. Of course it can go the other way as well and rabble rouse the people to fight the oxymoron of a Holy War. Whatever your medium of self-expression now is a good time to use it full-tilt: For the Good of All. This energy is at its worst when we fall into the delusion that we are the only one, the one and only and the world depends on us. Martyrs and messiahs are well advised if they truly care about the well-being of our planet, to keep it to themselves. (A pointless admonishing.) We are all cells in a body so vast we can’t see it. We are more like fish in the sea than singularities in charge of this topsy turvy world.

Sun conjunct Saturn
Long ago a poet told us that
A man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or what’s a heaven for?
All that reaching and grasping which we were meant to appreciate as inspiring has left our planet on the verge of destruction, our children overly anxious and everyone else overstimulated and confused, depending on where you live, how much resource you have and what you think is actually happening. A reset of all this reaching and grasping at nothing good requires us to question the assumptions of culture, to ask what our longings are for and about, and to pay attention to how much is enough. The longings of humans are not to be put aside. We share the planet with many others who aren’t given to profit and progress. They belong here too. Perhaps we need to question what our longings are really about. The soul will not be denied.

Sun sextile Pluto
Every opportunity to open to change is a teaching, a getting of wisdom. Sometimes the teacher is Life Itself.
March 26
Venus conjunct Chiron
We are enamored of Chiron’s wound rather than Chiron’s wisdom. To be human is to be wounded – sooner or later. To be wounded in love is at least, part of the initiation of adolescence. A Venus/Chiron conjunction in Aries asks or reminds us that as we travel the road of life we are likely to encounter love and loss. How this makes us wiser is the point.
March 28
Saturn sextile Pluto
If you’re the kind of person who can focus on the ‘long game’, however that appears to you, this is a time to consider with patience and realism the efforts and possibilities required. An aspect between two relatively slow moving planets has the potential to hang around in the background for a while. Specific to the astrological picture is the fact that this conjunction occurs at 5 degrees of Aries and Aquarius. These degrees are active for much of this year and into the year ahead. Good news for those who would like to build a world that works.
March 30
Venus enters Taurus
Venus changing signs is like a painter changing colors or a musician shifting to, not just a new song but a new style of song. Even so, the artist remains. Venus is at home in Taurus. She loves the earthy sensuality of her home sign. She revels in the way beauty energizes and excites nature’s passions which encourage all beings to frolic in the gardens of spring as we prepare to bloom and burst into life with strength and determination to live. You may not be in the business of birthing a new generation of lambs to frolic in the meadow but somewhere in your life there is a metaphorical lamb eager to be born. The transits (aspects) Venus makes to other planets will tell the tale.
April 1
Full Moon: 12* Libra: 10:11 PM EDT
We are April Fools, wanting to get on with it! Wanting to forge ahead, away from chaos into possibilities. Part of the work is to be aware that every triumph, every ‘win’ leaves a gap to be filled by whatever energy gets there first. Change is good. It requires us to pay attention to that gap and protect it from the powerful forces of greed and arrogance that often get there first, ahead of the more sensitive, thoughtful ones who would do a much better job if allowed to try. Make room for these energies. See what shows up.
April 3
Mercury trine Jupiter
Venus square Pluto
In a world where so few have so much and so many have so little we wonder what a blessing really is. Food to eat? Air to breathe? Water to drink? Beings to care about who care for us? Or have we come to believe that a blessing is more than we could ever use? Too much to hold or handle? An excess? Before we can count them we need to recognize them.
April 5
Sun square Jupiter
How much is enough? Why does it seem that it’s really too much? We are like the woman in the poet’s imagination: Most likely to exceed
But not likely to ever get enough; Enough of what you need.
April 8
Mars sextile Uranus
Things change. Make choices about what you would like to change based on your ability to do so. Focus on changes that help you support rather than undermine your well-being.
April 9
Mars enters Aries
Mars loves Aries. It rules Aries. Aries is in the news these days due to Saturn and Neptune recently taking up residence in this sign. Aries is the sign of war. There is nothing I can say about that which you don’t already know and have thought about. Aries is also the sign of heroics. First responders. Front line fighters. Mars in Aries is impulsive and motivated by instinct. As it journeys through it will conjunct Neptune spreading chaos and reactivity (April 13th). Once it conjuncts Saturn (April 19th) time will be to reign it in. For us mere mortals, we might consider our own reactivity, passionate responses and desire to be the hero of our story, for better and worse. Are we fighting the good fight or just make things worse?
April 13
Mars conjunct Neptune
Venus sextile Jupiter
There is a lot of talk about a lot of changes on this planet. Escalation seems to be the thing; just when you think it can’t get worse, it does. We want to push through the fog but Neptune is relentlessly confusing. Practice warrior pose. Before moving into position we align vertically between the ‘above’ (grace, heaven) and the ‘below’ (gravity, earth). It’s a miracle or at least a blessing, the way our heads balance like a world of their own, at the top of our spines.

Mercury sextile Uranus
Mercury enters Aries
Another cusp. An ending and a beginning. Transition is a no-person’s land of neither this, nor that. No longer here but not quite there. To feel ourselves at a threshold is to be uncomfortable yet real. This is a time of intense transition. ‘To what’ is anyone’s guess.
April 16
Sun conjunct Chiron
Mars sextile Pluto
Mercury conjunct Neptune
What does it mean to be human? Is it something to take for granted? Does it require constant care and cultivation? Is it about how we engage with each other? Or is it that we focus ever and always on our separateness? Perhaps it has never been clearer that we are here together. That we think collectively as well as discretely. That to be human is to be conscious in a way that is unique and requires awareness.
April 17
New Moon: 27* Aries: 07:51 AM EDT
We carry our wounds as if we are the only one. And yet, we are one of many. An army of potential to grow wise and wiser in the ways of being human. May our intentions be to attend to life however we find it, to be confident in our humanness and watch, listen and attend to Life in all its expression as it bursts up from the ground, down from the skies and out from within each and every living thing.
April 18
Mercury sextile Pluto
Think globally, act locally.
April 19
Mars conjunct Saturn
(Sun enters Taurus at 9:39 PM)
Despite or perhaps because of the demands of a world tilting like some mad pinball machine you are capable and called to mastery, to excellence, to be and do the best you personally can do and to know that is good enough.
